PARTNERING WITH STATES TO BUILD STRONGER, SUSTAINABLE SPORTS SYSTEMS FROM GRASSROOTS TO ELITE.

Dani Sports Foundation embeds dedicated Project Management Units within state sports departments, working as an on-ground extension of the department itself, not an external consultant, but a technical, planning and execution partner.
Our first PMU is deployed with the Rajasthan State Sports Council (RSSC), Department of Youth Affairs & Sports, and the next deployment is with the Sports Authority of Telangana (SATG), Department of Youth Advancement, Tourism and Culture (Sports) Department: a multidisciplinary team of experienced sports practitioners, and sports management specialists working full-time out of client sites.
WHAT A PMU DOES
A PMU supports the state government across the full sports value chain, from grassroots participation to elite performance and governance:
-
Strategic Vision & Policy: diagnostic reviews, benchmarking against national frameworks, and drafting updated state sports policy
-
Talent Identification: state-wide, school-based screening programmes to find sporting talent early
-
Talent Development: structured pathways from grassroot centres to satellite centres to elite Centres of Excellence
-
Competition Architecture: building recurring, multi-level competition systems from village to state level
-
Capacity Building: training programmes for coaches and sports administrators
-
Infrastructure Planning: on-ground mapping and readiness assessments of sporting facilities statewide
-
Institutional Reform: restructuring governance models for stronger accountability and delivery
-
Event Execution: coordinating major multi-agency national events

OUR APPROACH
Across states, PMU and Knowledge Partner engagements are built to leave behind more than reports. The goal is a structured, scalable and sustainable sports development ecosystem: clear athlete pathways, expanded training infrastructure, and stronger institutions that can run independently of us over time.
