Mumbai, 25th September 2026: Dani Sports Foundation has partnered with the Brahmaputra Volleyball League to launch Volleyball 360, an initiative designed to strengthen grassroots volleyball and create more competitive opportunities for young players across multiple states in India.

As India’s athletes continue to gain recognition on the global stage, Volleyball 360 seeks to reinforce the foundation of long-term sporting success by investing in grassroots participation, accessible competition and athlete development.

Volleyball 360 aims to have one million children playing volleyball across India before the 2036 Olympics.

The initiative reflects DSF’s commitment to building a stronger and more inclusive volleyball ecosystem that enables young players to develop their skills, realise their potential and grow in confidence. Volleyball 360 builds on the community-led model established by BVL, founded in Assam in 2020 by former Indian volleyball team captain Abhijit Bhattacharya. Since its inception, BVL has grown into the world’s largest volleyball community league, engaging more than 10,000 boys and girls.

Through Volleyball 360, Dani Sports Foundation and Brahmaputra Volleyball League will work together to scale this proven community-led model and foster a connected national volleyball ecosystem. The initiative will focus on:

  • Creating community-based leagues across multiple states;

  • Building the capacity of grassroots and high-performance coaches;

  • Strengthening talent identification and player development pathways; and

  • Supporting volleyball clubs through equipment distribution.

By empowering local communities and strengthening the pathway from grassroots participation to high-performance sport, Dani Sports Foundation aims to help make volleyball a truly national movement.
